With the second round of strokeplay qualifying, scheduled for Wednesday, cancelled due to flooding of the course, Scotland secured the 8th place in the top flight by a single stroke. Jaffrey was the second best Scots performer in the qualifying with a 75.
In the quarter final match on Thursday against top qualifiers Spain, the Scots lost the foursomes 2 - 0 and the singles 4 - 1 to lose out by 6 - 1 overall. Jaffrey secured a half match to contribute to the Scottish side's point.

Young lost to Lee by 6 & 5
In Friday's match, in their bid to secure fifth place overall, Scotland beat Finland by 3 to 2 to keep the goal of fifth place in their sights, which would be a creditable performance following their first qualification for the top flight since the present six player format was introduced.
Connie Jaffrey kept up her good showing in the event with a win in one of the singles matches.

On Saturday, the Scots play Italy to determine who will finish fifth and sixth, whilst France and Sweden will play off for the overall Championship.
