AYRSHIRE BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP - Low entry by closing date for County Championship

The 2013 Ayrshire Boys Championship will be held on Thursday 1st August at Ballochmyle Golf Club.

One disappointing aspect of the event is the low numbers of entrants received by the closing date of 10th July.

Whilst in previous years players have been balloted out of the event as it was over subscribed, this year there were only 23 entrants by the closing date.

As well as gaining entry to the Ayrshire Boys Matchplay Championship at Prestwick Golf Club, competitors also have the opportunity to go forward to the Scottish Champion Of Champions competition at the end of the season if they win the county title.

The maximum entry for the 36 holes event is set at 48, at the discretion of the AGA executive, and as a consequence of the low entry by the closing date, further entries will be accepted, on a first come first served basis, up to the maximum entry of 48 players.

Handicap limit is 12.

Entry forms should be submitted to the AGA Secretary, along with the £10 entry fee, and start times will be allocated once the form and fees are received.
