Kilmarnock Barassie secured the runners up spot in the league with a final match victory by 5.5 - 0.5 at home to Largs, while Royal Troon defeated thie rvisitors Loudoun by 6 - 0 in their penultimate fixture, confirming Loudoun's relegation from Division 1 this season.
In their penultimate fixture, at home to Irvine, Ballochmyle secured a crucial 3.5 - 2.5 victory to move out of the relegation places.
In the final fixture of the league season scheduled to be played on the 25th of August, Royal Troon host Ballochmyle and need a victory to escape relegation and send their visitors down in their stead, while a draw will be sufficient for Ballochmyle to retain their Division 1 status next season at the expense of Royal Troon.
