AYRSHIRE BOY'S MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP - Quarter final results at Prestwick

The quarter final matches in the 2024 Ayrshire Boys Matchplay Championship took place at the traditional venue of Prestwick Golf Club on Tuesday the 6th of August.

In the first quarter final the Ayrshire Boys Strokeplay Champion Scott Newman (West Kilbride) was up against Euan Forrest (West Kilbride) and it was Numan who won throiugh to the semi finals with a 5&4 victory.

In the semi finals Newman will play Oliver Long (Kilmarnock Barassie) who had a 6&4 victlory
over Ryan Steven (Ayr Belleisle) in their quarter final tie.

Aidan Hay (Irvine) went through to the last four with a 4&2 win over Jack Broadfoot (Royal Troon) in their quarter final fixture.  

In the semi finals Hay will be up against Quintin Dunlop (Turnberry) who gained his place in the semi finals with a 5&4 win over Oliver Kane (Royal Troon) in their semi final challenge.

The semi final matches will take place at Prestwick on Wednesday the 7th of August with the final scheduled to take place over the Prestwick links on Thursday the 8th of August.
