The qualifying sections in the 2018 Ayrshire Handicap League
Championship Trophy competition are rapidly heading towards conclusion, as the
battle continues for one of the four semi final places.
In SECTION A, Royal Troon hold a slender lead from Kilbirnie
Place at the top of the table.
In recent matches, Royal Troon drew 3 – 3 at home to Loudoun,
whilst Troon merchants picked up their first points of the season with a 3.5 –
2.5 win at Loudoun. Braehead had a narrow 3.5 – 2.5 victory over local rivals
Ayr Dalmilling, whilst Moorpark beat their visitors from Kilmarnock (Barassie)
by 4-2.

Prestwick St Cuthbert boosted their chances with successive
3.5 – 2.5 home wins over Troon St Meddans and Irvine Ravenspark whilst Largs
Routenburn and Irvine Ravenspark both had 4 – 2 home wins over Troon Welbeck
and Largs Routenburn respectively.
