A young Ayrshire side lost out to defending champions Lanarkshire in their latest West of Scotland Inter County Under 18 Boys League match on Sunday 30th August 2026.
The match was originally scheduled to take place at Crow Wood GC, but a course closure due to heavy overnight rain meant that the match was moved to Carnwath GC.

Diarmuid Slavin (Drumpellier) halved with Tommy Lawrence (Prestwick St Cuthbert)

In the other match played on Sunday 30th August, Stirlingshire had a 5-1 home win over Glasgow at Dunblane new GC.
The previous weekend Renfrewshire beat Dumbartonshire 6.5-1.5 at Windyhill to maintain their title hopes.
