The final between Paul Moultrie (Royal Troon) and Tom Loy (Irvine) was played on Friday the 14th of August, with Tom winning the last hole to tie the match. With fading light preventing the players going to extra holes, the two players agreed to return and play off for the title over another round of 18 holes.
