Scotland avoided the wooden spoon at the Men's Home Internationals at Conwy Golf Club, Wales, with an 8 - 7 final day victory over Wales on Friday 14th September.
In the morning foursomes Ayrshire's Jim Johnston (Ayr Belleisle) teamed up again with James Wilson and with the help of a run of three successive birdies from the eighth they beat Oliver Brown and Matt Roberts by 6 & 5.
Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) and Stuart Easton (Irvine) paired up again and finished their match against Gaelen Trew and Jacob Davies with a birdie two at the fiteenth for a 4 & 3 victory.
In the afternoon singles Euan Walker beat Tom Williams by 2 & 1, Jim Johnston lost by 3 & 2 to Matt Roberts and Stuart Easton had a 4 & 3 win against Archie Davies.
In the championship decider, England defeated defending champions Ireland by 8.5 - 6.5 to take the Raymond Trophy and Home International title for 2018.
