Irvine Golf Club have retained the Ayrshire Scratch league
Division 1 Championship, with one fixture still to be played following
confirmation of recent results.
The title holders had a 4 – 2 home win over Loudoun and a 3 –
3 draw away from home against local rivals Irvine Ravenspark in their latest
games, giving them a clear margin of victory in the championship race.
Loudoun ensure that Irvine Ravenspark would be relegated
with a 4 – 2 away win over the Ravenspark team.
The remaining teams in DIVISION 1 can still snatch
the runners up spot depending on the results of the four outstanding fixtures
still to be notified, which are

In DIVISION 2, Turnberry still lead the table on the results
notified, although it is believed that Ayr Belleisle have in fact completed all
their fixtures and lie four points ahead of Turnberry, who would require a
heavy win in their final home match against West Kilbride to snatch the title,
their hopes having been dented when held to a 3 – 3 draw at Girvan last week.
