In DIVISION 2 of the Ayrshire Scratch leagues, Ayr Belleisle
have now been confirmed in pole position with only two fixtures remaining to be
played.
With victories in their final two matches by 4.5 – 1.5 over
Girvan at home and Ardeer away, Ayr Belleisle leapfrogged Turnberry into top
spot.
In order to pip Ayr Belleisle for the title, Turnberry will
need to win their final home match against West Kilbride by at least 5 – 1,
whilst West Kilbride themselves could also mathematically take the title, though
they would need to pick up 11.5 out of 12 ties over their final two fixtuires,
away to Turnberry and at home to Girvan.
