The draw has been made for the 2025 Ayrshire Mens' handicap League Championship competition, with a record entry of 33 clubs taking part this season.
This year there will be eight qualifying sections once again, seven with four teams and one with five teams, with the top team in each section qualifying for the quarter finals
The draw for the eight qualifying sections is:-
League 1 – Caprington, Royal Troon, Largs, Tam O Shanter & Portmann
League 2 – Annanhill, Kilbirnie Place, Alton, Rowallan Castle
League 3 – Troon Portland, West Kilbride, Routenburn, Beith
League 4 – Ayr Belleisle, Irvine, Kilmarnock Barassie, Prestwick St Nicholas
League 5 – Troon St Meddans, Ballochmyle, Troon Welbeck, Golf South Ayrshire
League 6 – Wallacetown, Ayr Seafield, Crosshouse, Stewarton
League 7 – North Beach, Auchenharvie 88, Redburn, Ardeer
League 8 – Moorpark, Loudoun, Irvine Ravenspark, Prestwick St Cuthbert
Championship information will be sent out to club representatives in the next few days.
All match dates should be submitted to the Championship administrator by the 31st of March 2025 and all sectional matches must be completed by the 13th of July.
Once the eight quarter finalists are known, the quarter final and semi final matches will be played on a home and away basis.
The quarter finals, to be played by the 3rd of August will be:-
1 - Winner of League 4 Vs Winner of League 1
2 – Winner of League 5 Vs Winner of League 8
3 – Winner of League 6 Vs Winner of league 2
4 – Winner of league 3 Vs Winner of League 7
The semi finals, to be completed by the 24th of August will be:-
Winner of tie 1 Vs Winner of tie 2
Winner of tie 3 Vs Winner of tie 4
The winners of the two semi finals will contest the final during Finals Day at Troon Portland on Sunday the 31st of August.
