The third round line up in the 2019 Ayrshire Fourball Championship has been confirmed following completion of the remaining ties this week.Five ties were completed in the days leading up to Sunday's deadline, to decide who would complete the field in the last sixteen of the competition.
James Chalmers & William Walkinshaw (Glacier), and Scott & Martyn Cairns (Kilbirnie Place) had single hole home wins over Donald Campbell & Alan Stewart (Ayr Belleisle) and Jim McGhee & Ross Hannah (Louodun) respectively to progress, whilst Frank Grant & Hugh Wales (Ardeer) also won their home match on the final green, beating John McKay & Robin Turner (Troon St Meddans) by 2 holes.
Stuart Wilson & James Mason (NB Parkstone) beat their visitors Charles Bell & Andy Paton (Ayr Dalmilling) by 2&1 to go through to round three whilst the other second round tie saw Eddie Gilmour & Neill McPherson (Tam O Shanter) receive a walkover against Derek McKenna & Steven Lang (Skelmorlie).
