With all second round ties due for completion by Sunday 12th May, the third round line up for the 2019 Ayrshire Champion Of Champions Trophy competition is shaping up, with three more players progressing to the last sixteen recently.
George Campbell (Braehead) has been forced to withdraw through injury, and has awarded his opponent Nicholas Tindall (Tam O Shanter) a walkover in their second round tie.
Also through to round three is Craig Hamilton (Ballocmyle) who beat his host Greg Nichol (Troon St Meddans) by 4&3 in their second round tie. Hamilton will now be at home to Robbie MacInnes (Rowallan Castle) in the last sixteen.
The other player through to the third round so far is Gordon Munro (Caprington), courtesy of a 5&4 home win over George Paton (Troon Merchants) in round two. Munro will be at home to either Darren Mallinson (Irvine) or Ian Morrison (Prestwick St Cuthbert) in the third round.
Sandy Buchanan (Prestwick St Nicholas) is also through after a 5&4 win on his visit to play Craig Stevenson (Crosshouse). In the next round Buchanan is at home to Andrew Bell (Beith)
