Defending champions Ayrshire were pipped for the 2018 West Of Scotland Inter County A League title following completion of the seasons fixtures on Sunday 21st October.Having completed their fixtures last Sunday, the Ayrshire team had to wait on the result of the final fixture between Renfrewshire and Stirlingshire at Bonnyton GC, which had been postponed two weeks earlier.
Renfrewshire needed to win their final fixture to overtake Ayrshire at the top of the table and achieved their goal with a 5 - 3 win over their visitors, to regain the trophy they last won in 2014.
