Ayrshire will now take on Stirlingshire next week at Glenbervie with a chance of retaining the West League title, although this may depend on results elsewhere.
In the corresponding youths match played on Sunday 7th October, Ayrshire recorded their first win of the 2018 series, beating their hosts by 5.5 - 2.5, which included a remarkable fight back by sandy Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) who was five down with six to play but won a half point for the team.
