James McMurdo (Ballochmyle) received a walkover from his opponent Robert Murdoch (Doon Valley) and will be at home to either Graeme Gimson (Prestwick St Cuthbert) or Martin Moore (Tam O Shanter) in the third round.
Also through is Iain Fraser (Troon Portland) following his 4 & 3 'local derby' win over Andrew Gilligan (Troon St Meddans) over the Troon Lochgreen course. Fraser will be at home in round three against either Steven Arrandale (The Chase) or Sandy Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie)
