USA UNIVERSITIES GOLF - Good finished for Allan & McQueen

Two Ayrshire Ladies County Golf Association team members have recorded good finishes in USA Universities golf in recent days.

Linzi Allan (West Kilbride) secured a top 10 finish in the UCO Classic at Lincoln Park East GC, Oklahoma City this week.
The Scot, a student at Newman University, Wichita, Kansas, returned a pair of 73s for 146 over a par 71 course of 6,020yd, and finished three shots behind the winner, Spaniard Anna Arrese (Oklahoma Christian University) (73-70)
Another Newman student, England's Megan Birdsey, finished T45 in a field of 92 players. Shge had scores of 81 and 75 for 156.
Newman (599) finished fourth of 17 behind team winners St Edwards (588).

Rachael McQueen

 Meanwhile, Troon's Rachael McQueen, a second-year student at McLennan College, Waco in Texas, finished joint second in a US college golf tournament this week.
Rachael, 22, shot 76, 72 and 72 over a par-71 course of 6,120yd for a seven-over-par total of 220.
She finished three shots behind the winner, Shelby Hardy (Sam Houston State) who scored 72, 75 and 70.
