AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - League Championship latest


The Ayrshire Junior Golf League Championship matches are progressing, as teams bid for a place in the semi finals in August.
In SECTION A, Troon welbeck presently lead the way with 10 points from four matches played. The Troon team enjoyed good away results recently with a 4 - 2 win against local rivals Troon St. Meddans and a 3 - 3 draw at Prestwick St. Nicholas.
at the moment Annahill present the closest challenge to Troon Welbeck, having full points from two home matches after being awarded a walkover against Troon St. meddans in their latest scheduled game.
Present positions are :-
TROON WELBECK - Played 4 - 10 pts
ANNANHILL - Played 2 - 8 pts
PRESTWICK ST. NICHOLAS - Played 2 - 2 pts
TROON ST. MEDDANS - Played 2 - 0 pts
In SECTION B, there has still only been the one match played, a 4.5 - 1.5 home win for Kilmarnock (Barassie) over West Kilbride, although there are three further matches this week with the remaining ties scheduled to be completed by the end of June.
With only three teams remaining in SECTION C, no matches have been played so far, with the first one scheduled for Sunday 20th June.
Prestwick St. Cuthbert lead SECTION D after completing a 100% record in their three home matches with a 5 - 1 win over Loudoun.
Ardeer provide the nearest challenge to St. Cuthbert after securing a notable 4 - 2 win away to Ballochmyle in their last match.
What is looking increasingly like a crunch match is scheduled for Sunday 20th June when St. Cuthbert travel to Ardeer for their final fixture of the section.
