In extremely wet weather on Sunday 5th August, Ayrshire lost their second Area Team match of the season, by 3 - 0 to lanarkshire at Ballochmyle.
With the three morning foursomes lost by 2&1, 2&1 & 3&2, after a major effort by officials to get the three ties completed, the 3 - 0 result stood as the course was closed at lunchtime due to the excessively wet underfoot conditions and flooded greens.
