Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) helped Scotland overturn a morning foursomes defeat to beat Wales by 10.5 - 4.5 on the first day of the Boys Home Internationals at Machynys Peninsula, Wales on Tueday 7th August.
Trailing 3.5 - 1.5 in the morning, Scotland won the afternoon singles 9 - 1.
Stewart partnered Paul Shields in the morning foursomes and was defeated 3 & 1 by Rhodri Harston & Luke Jackson, but made amends in the afternoon with a crushing 7 & 6 victory over Joshua Green.
In the other match on day 1, England narrowly defeated Ireland by 8 - 7.
