BOYS HOME INTERNATIONALS - Scotland crash to Ireland whilst England make it 2 from 2

Scotland lost 5.5 - 9.5 to Ireland on day 2 of the Boys Home Internationals in Wales on Wednesday 8th August, whilst England crushed the host nation Wales by 14.5 - 0.5 in the other match.

Ayrshire golfer Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) was again paired with Paul Shields in the morning foursomes and again tasted defeat, by 2 & 1, at the hands of Luke Lennox and Alan Dunbar.

Scotland trailed ireland by 3 - 2 after the morning foursomes.

In the afternoon singles, Stewart had a second successive singles win, this time by 5 & 3 over garth Boyd but could not prevent Scotland losing the singles by 3.5 - 6.5 to lose the match by 5.5 - 9.5.

On the final day, on Thursday 9th August, Scotland face England whilst Wales play Ireland.
