In a tight match at home to Jennifer Linklater (Largs) in the semi final, Thompson edged through to the final at the second extra hole after the players were all square at the end of the regulation eighteen holes.
Thompson now awaits the winner of the tie between Pauline Patrick (Irvine) and Debbie Watt (Belleisle Ladies) to see who she will face in the championship final, which will be held at Royal Troon on Friday the 11th of August.
