AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Competitions update

The Ayrshire Junior Golf League competitions are progressing towards the finals in August and September.

In the AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, Irvine lead Section A, with only four fixtures left to be played in the division.

In Section B, Prestwick St Cuthbert lost their opening fixture of the season, going down narrowly by 3.5 – 2.5, at home to Ayr Belleisle. Present positions in Section B are:-

In the AYRSHIRE JUNIOR CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY competition, the remaining quarter final matches are all due to be completed by the 30^th of June with the semi finals due to be completed by the 31^st of July.

The semi-final line up is:-

Alfie Clare (Prestwick St Cuthbert) or Dylan Cairns (Prestwick St Nicholas) Vs. Harvey Broadfoot (Ayrshire Boys Champion) or Jack Broadfoot (Troon Welbeck)

Ryan Kennedy (Loudoun) vs. Sam Crozier (West Kilbride) or Oliver Long (Kilmarnock Barassie)

The finals of the Ayrshire Junior Golf League Championship and the Ayrshire Junior Champion of Champions Trophy competitions are due to take place at Ayr Belleisle on Sunday the 13^th of August.

In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT COMPETITION, the semi final matches are due to be played by the 14^th of August.

The semi final line up is:-

East Ayrshire Vs. Irvine

Turnberry Vs. West Kilbride

In the WALLACE THORNTON TROPHY competition, Irvine had a 4-0 home win over Ayr Belleisle recently in their quarter final tie. The remaining two quarter finals are dur to be completed by the 30^th of June, with the semi finals due to be completed by the 14^th of August.

The semi final line up is:-

Irvine Vs. Prestwick St Nicholas or Kilmarnock Barassie

West Kilbride vs. East Ayrshire or Turnberry

The finals of the Under 16 Knockout and the Wallace Thornton Trophy  competitions are due to be held at Ayr Belleisle on Sunday the 3^rd of September.
