AYRSHIRE MIXED GREENSOOMES KNOCKOUT - Four second round ties to be played to confirm last sixteen

The Ayrshire Mixed Greensomes Knockout competition, for The Ayrshire Jug, has four second round ties to be decided before the last sixteen line up is confirmed.

Scott Gilchrist & Sally Hamilton (Loudoun) had a 3&2 win against Brian Baird & Aileen Latona (Troon Welbeck) at the Fullarton course in Troon, and will now be away to Fran & Dave Hadden (Kilmarnock Barassie) for a place in the quarter finals.

Jean Tannock & Robert Dalziel (Troon Welbeck) were also winners, technically away from home, in round two, beating their hosts and clubmates Jan Flint & Gary Burgess (Troon Welbeck) at the 19th.

Patricia Harris & Neil Wilson (Ballochmyle) had a single hole victory at home to Graeme Muir & Barbera Beckett (Loudoun) in round two to secure a home tie in round three against Alistair & Jane Belford (Prestwick St Nicholas).

The remaining second round ties are due to be completed by the 21st of May.
