With five counting scores from six going towards the team score, the Ayrshire team finished on 378, ten shots behind the winning Lanarkshire team on 368 and eight shots adrift of the medal places, taken by Glasgow and Perth & Kinross on 370.
Robert Jenkins (Royal Troon) returned the best round for the Ayrshire team, with a 71, one stroke ahead of fellow Royal Troon and Scottish Senior Internationalist Paul Moultrie, with a 72.
