SCOTTISH GOLF - National events to take place over the weekend as scheduled

Scottish Golf have issued a statement, following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, confirming that national events scheduled to take place over the weekend will go ahead as scheduled.

The full statement, as published, is reproduced below.

Following the sad news about the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Scottish Golf would like to update all Areas & Counties on events due to take place in the coming week.

With the greatest of respect intended to the Royal Family, programmed events will take place as normal. This includes the Boys' Area Team Championship and the Golf Sixes Regional Final.

There are currently no plans to suspend or reschedule golf events.

We understand there may be some venues that choose to suspend activity in order to mark the Queen's passing in their own way. If your club, Area / County would like to communicate a change to your planned activity, and if you would like to discuss this,  please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

We can be contacted at events@Scottishgolf.org / juniorgolf@scottishgolf.org / communications@scottishgolf.org

Many thanks.
