Ayrshire join the 15 other Scottish Golf Area Associations at Eastwood Golf Club on Sunday 3rd June when the 2018 Scottish Area Boys Team Championships takes place.
Due to communication issues between departments within Scottish Golf, the national championship has unfortunately clashed with the Welsh Youths Championship, which has been designated by SGL as an order of merit counting event. The clash has resulted in two of the previously named Ayrshire team members, Jack Broun (Ayr Belleisle) and Cameron Johnstone (Troon Welbeck) having to withdraw from the county team for the Area Team Championship, a situation which has no doubt affected teams representing other areas also.
Ayrshire are fortunate to have a couple of well qualified alternative options to pull into the side, which has resulted in Alyx Murray (Troon Welbeck) and Sean Addie (Ayr Belleisle) joining Euan Ferguson (Turnberry) and Ruben Lindsay (Ayr Belleisle) in representing Ayrshire on Sunday.
The boys will play foursomes in the morning, with both scores counting, and singles in the afternoon with three from four scores counting towards the team total.
