Three more players are through to the quarter finals of the 2018 Ayrshire Champion Of Champions Trophy competition, with the remaining three third round matches due to be completed by Sunday 17th June.Ayrshire Golf Association President John Rushbury (Rowallan Castle) returned as a 6&5 winner on his trip to face Scott Ainsworth (Ardeer) and will now visit either Kilbirnie Place or Ayr Belleisle in the last eight.
Also through to the quarter finals is Gary Steele (Brunston Castle) who had a 1 hole victory at home against former winner John Sloan (Tam O Shanter), to set up a home tie in the quarter finals against Greg Nichol (Troon St Meddans) who won his third round tie away from home against Scott Brown (Prestwick St Cuthbert) by 3&1.
