A number of matches have been completed in the four qualifying sections of the 2018 Ayrshire Handicap League Championship recently.
In SECTION A, Royal Troon joined Moorpark at the top of the
table following opening home wins by 4 – 2 and 5 – 1 over Kilmarnock Barassie
and Ayr Dalmilling respectively.
Moorpark’s second win from two came courtesy of a 5 – 1 defeat
of their visitors from Troon Merchants.
Braehead bounced back from an opening match defeat to beat
Troon Merchants at home in their second fixture of the campaign.

Troon Portland off to a winning start in their challenge for a place in the
semi finals.

Ayr Seafield have a clear lead in SECTION D following
successive home wins by 4 – 2 and 3.5 – 2.5 over Crosshouse and Prestwick St
Nicholas respectively which maintained their 100 % record.
Also unbeaten so far are Redburn, who opened with a 5 – 1 win
away to Ayr Seafield, and Rowallan castle who recorded a 4.5 – 1.5 home win
over Tam O Shanter in their opening fixture.
