AYRSHIRE HANDICAP LEAGUE - Ayr Dalmilling close in on final spot.

The two semi finals of the inaugural Ayrshire Handicap League Championship will be concluded this weekend, with Ayr Dalmilling close to booking a place in the final following an emphatic win in the first leg of their semi final against Auchenharvie 88.

The first leg of both semi finals were played last Saturday, 19th August.

Ayr Dalmilling were at home to Auchenharvie 88 and recorded a 6 - 0 win over their visitors.

Andrew Lindsay led the way with a 6 & 5 win and there were also big wins for Adam Cambers, Tony McCurdie, David McGawn and Alan Purvis before Gerald Mullan edged home with a two hole victory  to complete the whitewash.

A. Lindsay beat B. Robertson by 6 & 5
A. Cambers beat A. McDonald by 5 & 4
G. Mullan beat S. Little by 2 holes
T. McCurdie beat B. McCandless by 4 & 3
D. McGawn beat K. McCulloch by 4 & 3
A. Purvis beat A. McNaught by 7 & 5

In the first leg of the other semi final, Ballochmyle were held to a 3 - 3 draw at home to Rowallan Castle.

The second leg of the Ayr Dalmilling Vs Auchenharvie 88 semi final take place on Saturday 26th August whilst Ballochymyle visit Rowallan castle on Sunday 27th August. The final will take place at Loudoun Gowf Club on Sunday 3rd September.
