GREENLEES TROPHY - First title win for Kilmarnock (Barassie) Ladies in West Of Scotland Inter Club Leagues

The ladies of Kilmarnock (Barassie) won the the Greenlees Trophy and Division 1 title in the West Of Scotland Inter Club Leagues in 2015, their first ever success in the competition.

7 - 2 wins at home to West Kilbride and away at Whitecraigs in their final two fixtures saw the Barassie team overtake Milngavie at the top of the table to capture the league crown and get their name on the Greenlees Trophy in the 75th anniversary year of the competition.

Troon ladies finished the season in third place with Loudoun fourth, whilst West Kilbride avoided relegation to division 2, finishing in seventh place in the table.

Final placings in Division 1 were :-

46.5 - Kilmarnock (Barassie)
45.0 - Milngavie
42.0 - Troon Ladies
40.5 - Loudoun
38.0 - Ranfurly Castle
37.5 - Cathkin Braes
31.0 - West Kilbride
27.0 - Douglas Park
16.5 - Whitecraigs

In Division 2, Cathcart Castle edged out Ayr Belleisle for the league title, though the Ayr club have the satisfaction of winning promotion for the second successive season. 

Largs finished in joint third place in division 2, but even a 5.5 - 3.5 away win at Hilton park in their final match of the season could not save Prestwick St Nicholas from relegation for a second successive year.

Final placings in Division 2 were :-

42.5 - Cathcart Castle
41.0 - Ayr Belleisle
38.5 - Williamwood
38.5 - Largs
37.5 - Erskine
33.5 - Old Ranfurly
33.0 - Lenzie
30.0 - Hilton Park
27.5 - Prestwick St Nicholas

Haggs Castle were clear winners of Division 3 and gained promotion alongside Kilmacolm.

Final placings in Division 3 were :-

64.0 - Haggs Castle
56.5 - Kilmacolm
51.5 - Cardross
37.5 - East Renfrewshire
36.5 - Bothwell Castle
36.0 - Cawder
34.0 - Eastwood
32.5 - Cowglen
31.0 - Lanark
25.5 - Greenock

Kilmarnock (Barassie) will be presented with their trophy at a lunch at Cathcart Castle on Tuesday 20th October.
