AYRSHIRE ORDER OF MERIT - McInally leads chase for Doc Thom Salver

With 10 of the 14 counting events now completed, Tommy McInally (Loudoun) - pictured right - has a commanding lead in the chase in the 2010 Ayrshire Order Of Merit for The Doc Thom Salver.

With the recent open competitions at Ballochmyle and Ardeer being dominated by home players, McInally was the only one of the leading players in the order of merit to pick up points, with a joint fifth place at Ballochmyle.

Present leading totals are :-

365.00 - Tommy McInally (Loudoun)
160.00 - Keith hamilton (Ayr Belleisle)
141.00 - Euan Brown (Kilmarnock Barassie)
112.50 - Craig Hamilton (Ballochmyle)
101.00 - Chris Bone (Loudoun)
100.00 - Chris Harkins (Ayr Belleisle), William Fleming (Ballochmyle)
90 .00  - John Haggarty (Loudoun)
87.50   - Craig Davidson (Ardeer), Steven Donnelly (Ardeer)

The four remaining counting events are The Scottish Amateur Championship in July, the Viking Krus at Largs and the Welbeck Links at Troon in August and the Arrol Cup at Prestwick St. Nicholas in September.
