AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - semi final line up confirmed

The four semi finalists in the 2010 Ayrshire Junior Golf league Championship have been confirmed, after the latest series of matches. Only two fixtures in the four sections remain outstanding, but the results of these cannot affect the semi final qualifiers.

In SECTION A, Annanhill confirmed threir place in the last four with a 6 - 0 home win over Prestwick St. Nicholas. With all matches completed in the section, final positions were :-

Annanhill - 24 pts

Troon Welbeck - 10 pts

Prestwick St. Nicholas - 10 pts

Troon St. Meddans - 4 pts

In SECTION B, Kilmarnock (Barassie) claimed the semi final place. Final placings with all matches played were :-

Kilmarnock (Barassie) - 14 pts

West Kilbride - 10 pts

Irvine Ravenspark - 0 pts

In SECTION C, a 4 - 2 home win over Largs confirmed Ayr Belleisle as the semi final qualifiers.

With the match between Irvine and Largs outstanding, current placings in the section are :-

Ayr Belleisle - 12 pts

Irvine - 4 pts

Largs - 4 pts

In SECTION D, the match between Ballchmyle and Loudoun remains outstanding but Ardeer confirmed their qualification for the last four with a 6 - 0 away win at Loudoun in their final match.

Present positions in the section are :-

Ardeer - 20 pts

Prestwick St. Cuthbert - 12 pts

Loudoun  - 8 pts

Ballochmyle - 4 pts

The draw for the semi finals will take place at the next AJGL Executive meeting, in early August.
