Ayrshire play host to Argyll & Bute on Sunday 21st September, at Troon Portland, in the 2008 Scottish Area Team Championship, where a win would ensure Ayrshire a place in the semi finals.
In the 31 year history of the event, Ayrshire have only won the Area Team Cghampionship once, in 1986, and will be hoping to come closer to ending a 22 year wait with the right result on Sunday, to secure their place when the remaining four teams play off for the title at at Tain on 4th & 5th of October.
