SENIORS BRITISH OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP - Ayrshire players bid for places in final qualifying events

A number of Ayrshire golfers will be heading to the east coast over the weekend to line up at one of three venues which will hold final qualifying events for the 2007 Seniors British Open on Monday 23rd July.



The Seniors Open Championship will be played from 26th to 29th July 2007 at Muirfield.



The Qualifying event being held at Dunbar on monday will feature Prestwick professional and former Scottish Professional Champion Ross Drummond.

Amateur John Broadfoot (Turnberry) will take part in the qualifier at North Berwick.

The qualifying even at Craigielaw features 4 local players. Well known Ayrshire teaching professional Bill Lockie is joined by local amateurs Ronnie McLellan (Turnberry), David J. Miller (Kilmarnock Barassie) and Tony Stafford (Troon St. Meddans) as the quartet bid for a place in the championship at Muirfield.
