NORTH OF SCOTLAND SENIORS CHAMPIONSHIP - McLellan best of Ayrshire players

Ronnie McLellan (Turnberry) - pictured right - was the best placed of the four Ayrshire players who took part in the North of Scotland Seniors Open turnament at Nairn Dunbar at the weekend, the second event in the new Scottish seniors circuit.

Former Scottish Amateur Champion and current holder of the Scottish senior title, Ian Hutcheon (Monifieth) won the championship by 4 shots on 142, whilst McLellan shared 7th place on 152.

David Miller (Kilmarnock Barassie) was one shot further behind McLellan, on 153, with John Broadfoot (Turnberry) two shots further back on 155.

The remaining Ayrshire player in the field, Keith Howie (West Kilbride) finished well down the field on 161.
