The draws were made for the quarter finals of the Under 16 and Champion Of Champions competitions this week, which also saw confirmation from Annanhill that they were withdrawing from all junior league competitions this season.

In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT competition, Troon St Meddans and Largs both went through to the last eight at the expense of Ardeer and Troon Welbeck respectively.

The quarter final draw, to be played by 29th July, is :-

TROON ST MEDDANS Vs BALLOCHMYLE
AYR BELLEISLE Vs CAPRINGTON

In the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS competition, Ayrshire Boys Champion Callum Beveridge won through to the quarter final in his away match with Ian Napier of Ayr Belleisle whilst Sandy Walker of Ardeer progressed courtesy of a walkover against Stephen Hill of Prestwick St Cuthbert. The remaining place in the last eight was taken by Callum Gorrie of Kilmarnock  Barassie who was a 9 & 8 winner over Cameron Grant at Caprington.

The draw for the quarter finals, to be played by 29th July, is :-

STUART WALSH (Irvine) Vs CALLUM GORRIE (Kilmarnock Barassie)
SANDY WALKER (Ardeer) Vs CHRISTOPHER MURRAY (West Kilbride)

In the LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, the withdrawal of Annanhill leaves SECTION A with only three teams remaining in the shape of Irvine Ravenspark, Prestwick St Cuthbert and Ballochmyle. Matches in this section are now scheduled to start on 11th June.

In SECTION B, Largs got off to a good start with a 5.5 - 0.5 home win over Prestwick St Nicholas, but went down by 3.5 - 2.5 in the corresponding return match a week later.

In the only result posted in SECTION C so far, Troon Welbeck and Irvine fought out a 3 - 3 draw at Troon.

In the latest match completed in SECTION D, Caprington recorded a 4 - 2 away win at West Kilbride which leaves all four teams on 6 points with half the scheduled matches played.
