NICK FALDO SERIES - Gray & Mackay through to national final

Two former Ayrshire Boys Champions have qualified for the Scottish final of the Nick faldo Series, to be held at The Roxburghe on 22nd August.

Jamie Mackay (Kilmarnock Barassie) - pictured right - and Cameron Gray (West Kilbride) - pictured below - qualified in the under 21 section behind Craigielaw's Zack Saltman who headed the 24 qualifiers. Saltman had a 73 over Carnoustie in April and a 75 over The Carrick at Cameron House on Wednesday 7th May, for a total of 148 to win the Under-21 boys' section by three shots, as well as returning the lowest total in all the categories.

The winners of the age groups will go on to the Grand Final in the autumn at an English final yet to be announced.

Jamie Mackay was runner up to Saltman, with 76 & 75 respectively for 151, whilst Cameron Gray was third in the section on 154, after returning rounds of 79 and 75.
