Ayrshire girls won the West Division Girls' Inter-County Jamboree held at Clober Golf Club on Tuesday 21st June to bring the Kennedy Salver back to the county.
The Ayrshire team included :-
Morag Macpherson (Kilmarnock Barassie)
Vicki Smith (Kilmarnock Barassie)
Sarah Hutton (Troon Bentinck)
Gillian Arnott (Kilbirne Place)
Lynsey Weadon (Kilmarnock Barassie)
Linzi Allan (Kilbirnie Place)
The team of Morag, Vicki, Sarah, Gillian and Lynsey won the morning match against Dunbartonshire and Argyll by 4 - 1, to book a final spot against the other morning victors, Lanarkshire.
Morag, Vicki, Sarah, Gillian and Linzi combined in the afternoon to defeat Lanarkshire 3.5 - 1.5, to take the West Division title
