THE AYRSHIRE JUG - Two of three first round ties completed in mixed greensomes championship

Two of the three first round ties in the 2024 Ayrshire mixed greensomes knockout competition for The Ayrshire Jug have been completed, with the remaining tie due to be completed by the 28th of April.

Alasdair & Catherine Malcolm (Prestwick St Cuthbert) had a single hole home victory over last years quarter finalists Jean Tannock & Rab Dalziel (Troon Welbeck) and will be at home in round two to either Carol Moffat (Caprington) & James McGhee (Loudoun) or Kevin Flack & Janet Harkness (Skelmorlie).

The other first round victors were Susan Smith & Roddie Middleton (Loudoun) who had a 2&1 victory on their visit to play Angela Hughes (Irvine) and Douglas Gillespie (West Kilbride).
