With an opening tie away from home against Gavin Chesney (Kilbirnie Place), Campbell recoorded a 2&1 win to book a trip to face either Kenny Doherty (Routenburn) or Jamie Ralston (Moorpark) in round two.
There are fourteen other first round ties in this year's competition, which are due to be completed by the 28th of April.
