Four of the eleven first round ties in the 2018 Ayrshire Fourball Championship have been completed, with the remainder due to be decided by Sunday 22nd April.
Jim Edwards & Billy Jackson (Largs Routenburn) had a final hole win over their visitors John Houston & John Hood (Crosshouse) and will now host either Ayr dalmilling or Ayr Seafield in the second round.
Maurice Mulholland & John Sloan (Tam O Shanter) also had a home win in the opening round, beating Kevin Campbell & John Toal (Glacier) by 3&2 to set up a home tie in the second round against either Doon Valley or Stewarton.
A single hole win by Steven Gray & Scott McNeil (Ayr Carrick) over their visitors Stuart McHarg & Ian Bovill (NB Parkstone) was enough to book a home tie in round two against Brunston castle or Largs).
Kirk Ramsay & Jeremy Gittind (Redburn) beat Steven Stamper & Fraser Docherty (Girvan) by 3&2 over the ravenspark course to secure a home tie in the second round against Sandy Currie & Robert Gilmour (Troon St Meddans).
