The Ayrshire Under 18 team played their final match in the 2017 West Of Scotland Under 18 Inter County League on Sunday 3rd September, when they played host to Glasgow at Irvine Ravenspark, and ended the season in style with a 7 - 1 win.The Glasgow team arrived with two players short for the under 16 ties, which gave Ben Watson (Kilmarnock Barassie) and Ross McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) walkovers in their respective ties, and gave Ayrshire an immediate 2 - 0 lead.
In the other two under 16 ties, Sean Addie (Ayr Belleisle) and John McCracken (Irvine) both won, Addie beating Dean Farmer (Cathkin Braes) by 3 & 2 and McCracken winning by 4 & 3 against Lewis Kelso (Ralston)
Jack Broun (Ayr Belleisle) beat Jack Williams (Sandyhills) by a single hole in the lead under 18 tie, whilst Robbie Muir (Kilmarnock Barassie) lost out by 3 & 2 to Nick Branney (Cathcart Castle).
The final two under 18 ties both went Ayrshire's way, by a large margin, Ewan Milligan (Kilmarnock Barassie) beating Greg Murphy (Ralston) by 8 & 7 and Kieran Beauchamp (Turnberry) beating Alan Murphy (Ralston) by 7 & 6.
