Alistair Wright (Royal Troon) has successfully negotiated the opening round of the 2016 Ayrshire Champion Of Champions Trophy competition.Playing against Andrew Lindsay (Ayr Dalmilling), who elected to forego home advantage and play the match at Troon, Wright cruised through the tie with a 6 & 5 victory.
Wright now faces an away tie in the second round, against either James Johnston (Prestwick St Nicholas) or Craig Hamilton (Ballochmyle)
