Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) helped Europe to victory in the Bonallack Trophy match against Asia-Pacific last week in Portugal.The match, played at the Vidago Palace Golf Club, resulted in a comfortable victory for the hosts by 20 1/2 - 10 1/2.
Despite losing his singles tie on day three, McDonald made a significant contribution to the team success, playing alongside fellow Scot Grant Forrest in the foursomes and fourball format ties on the opening two days and recording two wins, one halved tie and suffering one defeat as a pairing.
