The four qualifying sections in the 2010 Ayrshire Junior Golf League Championship competition are under way, as teams bid to secure one of the four semi final places by topping their respective sections.
In SECTION A, the opening fixture saw Troon Welbeck record a 4 - 2 home win over Prestwick St. Nicholas.
In the only match played so far in SECTION B, Kilmarnock (Barassie) opened with a 4.5 - 1.5 home win over the defending champions West Kilbride.
No matches have been played so far in SECTION C, with the first game due to be played in mid June.
All three matches played so far in SECTION D have resulted in 5 - 1 wins for the home team.
Prestwick St. Cuthbert began with victory over Ballochmyle but the score was reversed in the corresponding match at the Mauchline course, whilst Ardeer were the other victors so far, with a win over Loudoun.
