AYRSHIRE FOURBALL CHAMPIONSHIP - completion of second round matches approaches

With only one week to go for second round matches to be completed, a number of ties in the 2009 Ayrshire Fourball Championship have been completed this week.

Paul Church & Jim Anderson (Skelmorlie) are through to round 3 after a 1 hole home win over John Anderson & Sean Ingle (Braehead).

Gary Jordan & Douglas Anderson (Annanhill) travelled away to record a 2 & 1 win over David Murdoch & Gordon Blunt (Prestwick St. Cuthbert).


John Byrne & Colin Greenham (West Kilbride) and Douglas McKinnon & Kevin Ottley (Ayr Belleisle) progressed courtesy of 1 hole home wins over Neil McKinnon & Billy Hamilton (Ballochmyle) and Kenny Milliken & Ian Fraser (Troon St. Meddans) respectively.

In the other match decided recently, Roddie Davidson & James Young (Drongan) received a walkover from Alan & George McLean (Kilbirnie Place).
