Think this has been an absolute shambles of a decision regarding ballochmyle how can you make a decision like that that directly affects the outcome of a league group when there is still a week left to get the game played.

Should be ashamed of yourselves for making a county competition a nonsense

It is unfortunate that the author of the comment chose to remain anonimous however it is quite clear from the rules of the competition, issued to all competing clubs, that any team conceding more than one match will be removed from the competition and any matches played will be deleted (under heading Match Format - paragraph G).
Consequently, with the team concerned defaulting on a second match of the competition, the organiser had no alternative but to remove the club, as per the rules.

the author remained anonymous for good reason as the present establishment in fact the ayrshire setup in general has always been a boys club with little input from the people that actually play in and support the the ayrshire competitions every year.
The answer IT'S THE RULES doesn't make it right and it smacks of the belligerent attitude of those in question
look forward to your squirming scathing reply

And alasdair please don't count yourself as one of the establishment, your one of the few who actually
make a worthwhile contribution to the setup and this web blog is an invaluable source of information and results

Reply from Alasdair Malcolm :-
Having served on the Ayrshire Executive for 20 years, I fail to see how I cannot count myself as one of the establishment that Anonymous is so scathing, in my opinion quite unfairly, about.
There are a number of the present Executive members who both play in and have supported the Ayrshire competitions for a number of years, and these individuals, to a man, have frequent and valued input to many aspects of the A.G.A.'s work.
I trust that this is a suitably squirming scathing reply for Anonymous
Whilst nobody can claim to be perfect and get it right all of the time, it is grossly unfair to be so scathing of the efforts of those people who freely give (a considerable ammount) of their spare time to administer the various activities and commitments of the Ayrshire Golf Association.
The Executive are always looking for fresh ideas and perhaps Anonymous or other members of Ayrshire clubs who feel they have something worthwhile to contribute would consider standing for election at the forthcoming or future Annual General Meetings and bring their ideas and aspirations to the table.
Contrary to Anonymous' last entry, I am proud to be numbered amongst those in "the establishment" who I am confident give their best efforts, despite opinions to the contrary, for the continued development of the A.G.A.'s activities.
