AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Largs meet Ballochmyle in final

The final of the 2007 Ayrshire Junior Golf League Championship, being played on Sunday 16th September at 1400hrs over the Kilmarnock (Barassie) links, will be between Largs and Ballochmyle.

Ballochmyle progressed to the final despite a 4 - 2 second leg defeat at Ardeer in the semi9 final this week. Having won their home match by 6 - 0, Ballochmyle went through to the final on an 8 - 4 overall win.

Leading by 5 - 1 against Prestwick St. Nicholas after their home match, Largs travelled to Prestwick on Sunday 9th September and returned with a 3 - 3 draw for a 8 - 4 aggregate win.

Ballochmyle, the defending champions, are bidding for their 8th title win, with a further two runners up honours in their collection, whilst for Largs this will be their first appearance in the League Championship final.

The Champion Of Champions final will also be contested next Sunday, with Euan Brown (Kilmarnock Barassie) due to play either Jared Williams (Troon St. Meddans) or Craig Mclaughlin (Largs), who will meet this Tuesday in the semi final.
