AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Kilmarnock Barassie successful in defence of titles

Kilmarnock (Barassie) defended both the Under 16 Knockout Trophy and Wallace Thornton Trophy on Sunday 9th September, as the first two finals of the 2007 Ayrshire Junior Golf League season were played, over the Kilmarnock (Barassie) links.

In a remarkable run of success, Kilmanrock (Barassie) teams have now won the Under 16 Knockout Trophy in three successive years and the Wallace Thornton Trophy for the last five years.


In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT TROPHY final, Barassie took on Ardeer. despite giving shots in three of the four ties, the Barassie team (pictured below) ran out winners by 4 - 0

In the WALLACE THORNTON TROPHY final, Barassie faced West Kilbride in their bid for their fifth successive win in the competition.

Led by Ayrshire Boys Champion Euan Brown, the Barassie team (pictured below) won 4 - 0 to retain the trophy.
